The Statute Amendment General Assembly of the Internatio-
nal Labour Confederation (ILC) Successfully Held in Ankara

The Statute Amendment General Assembly of the International Labour Confe-
deration (ILC) was successfully held in Ankara on April 20, 2025.
During the Assembly, significant amendments to the statute were adopted with
the aim of further strengthening the institutional structure of the ILC and its role
within the global trade union movement. These amendments introduced new
provisions designed to address current challenges in the world of work and an-
ticipate potential future risks. With these additions, the ILC seeks to contribute
to a more just, inclusive, and solidarity-based global labour movement.
This General Assembly represents a milestone not only in enhancing the insti-
tutional foundation of the ILC but also in reinforcing the collective capacity of
the international trade union movement. The updates to the statute constitute
a strategic step toward safeguarding the future of labour and building a fair and
equitable world of work.
