ILC Board of Directors Meeting Held in Ankara: Hamza Öksüz Elected as Secretary General of the ILC
One of the most notable decisions taken during the Board of Directors' meeting was the appointment of a new Secretary General. Hamza Öksüz, Vice President of Memur-Sen, was unanimously elected as the Secretary General of the ILC. Widely recognized for his experience in the labour struggle and his active engagement in international trade union affairs, Öksüz aims to contribute to making the ILC a more influential actor on the global stage in this new role.
The election of Hamza Öksüz as Secretary General is seen as a strong representation for the multinational structure of the ILC. In the new term, the focus will be on strengthening global cooperation, protecting and advancing workers’ rights, and enhancing the effectiveness of the international trade union movement.
We extend our best wishes for success to Mr. Hamza Öksüz in his new role.
