ILC President Ali Yalçın and Secretary General Hamza Öksüz are Attending the ILO’s 114th International Labour Conference
As the highest decision-making platform of the ILO, the International Labour Conference brings together representatives of governments, employers and workers to address the key issues shaping the global world of work. The Conference is of great importance for the development of international labour standards, the strengthening of social justice, and the promotion of decent work based on human dignity.
The official agenda of the Conference includes key issues such as decent work in the digital platform economy, equal opportunity, social dialogue and tripartism. The ILO states that representatives of governments, employers and workers from its 187 Member States are coming together at the Conference.
This year’s Conference is taking place at a time when digitalization, artificial intelligence, the climate crisis, migration, wars and global economic uncertainties are profoundly affecting the world of work. In this context, the Conference provides a critical platform for discussing the future of labour, social protection, trade union rights, just transition and the protection of workers’ rights in emerging forms of work.
Within the framework of the ILO’s 114th International Labour Conference, the International Labour Confederation will continue to contribute to the global labour agenda, strengthen international cooperation, and defend the rights of labour for a world of work grounded in human dignity.
