Bilateral Meetings Held on the Margins of the 114th International Labour Conference
During the meetings, strategic issues such as the future of global labour, the new challenges facing the international trade union movement, the strengthening of social justice, digitalization and the transformation of labour relations, as well as the impact of wars, crises and migration movements on the world of work were discussed.
In addition, opportunities for bilateral cooperation, joint international initiatives, the strengthening of trade union capacity, and requests for training programmes to be delivered by the ILC were among the prominent items on the agenda.
The fact that one of the most frequently asked questions during these meetings concerned the ILC’s activity plan, together with the growing interest in the International Labour Confederation, is a source of great pride and satisfaction for our Confederation. This interest demonstrates that the ILC is becoming an increasingly visible, effective and closely followed actor within the international trade union movement.
