The International Labour Confederation (ILC) Board of Directors Convened in Ankara
The meeting, chaired by Board President Ali Yalçın, addressed topics such as reviewing the confederation's activities, evaluating and approving new membership applications, planning union training programs, and organizing international symposiums, panels, and conferences.
Discussions also focused on global issues facing workers, including wars and conflicts, inflation, unemployment, informal employment, human rights violations, and income inequality.
Highlighting the transformative power of labor in building a fairer world, Yalçın stated:
"Life is labor; therefore, labor is not a cost but the essence of production. We advocate for organized struggles prioritizing humanity and jobs worthy of human dignity. We stand for international solidarity to protect workers' rights. What we seek is not justice that serves the interests of sovereigns and global elites, but one that embraces all humanity."
At the meeting, where critical decisions for the organization's future were made, all Board Members delivered strong messages emphasizing their commitment to enhancing collaboration and strengthening the labor movement.
